Helping Our Prisoners Elevate (H.O.P.E.) is a pro-active, volunteer-based prisoner outreach
organization. Our focus is to aid in the transformation of incarcerated men and women into conscious and productive members
of our community, by:
• Distributing books and other literature to those
in prison;
• Educating the community about prison-related
issues.
While H.O.P.E. recognizes and abhors Black-on-Black crime, we do not believe that punishment
absent the means for growth and transformation serves the long term best interests of our community. Our purpose is to raise
the awareness of those inside and outside the prisons and to bridge the gap between the captives and the community.
